G-Spot Amplification in Seoul: How It Works, Evidence and Risks

G-spot amplification is an injection of hyaluronic acid filler into a small area on the front wall of the vagina, intended to make the tissue fuller and, for some women, more sensitive during sex; evidence for this benefit is limited and results vary. At Hommage Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, female OB/GYN specialist Dr. Park Yuna examines you first and discusses whether it suits your concern.

Quick answer

G-spot amplification(G-shot) is a 15–30 minute injection of hyaluronic acid filler beneath the lining of the front vaginal wall, intended to make the area fuller and possibly more sensitive. At Hommage Women's Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, female OB/GYN specialist Dr. Park Yuna examines you first and explains the evidence honestly: studies are small and uncontrolled, results vary, and any effect fades over several months. Sex is usually avoided for about one week.

Key takeaways

  • A systematic review found no consistent evidence of a distinct anatomical G-spot; sensitivity of the front vaginal wall varies widely.
  • The treatment is temporary and reversible with hyaluronidase, but its benefit is not proven.
  • The front vaginal wall lies over the urethra and bladder, so urinary symptoms are a specific risk.
  • Low desire, arousal difficulty or pain usually have treatable causes that should be assessed first.

It may be considered if you

  • Are healthy, with no pain during sex and no urinary symptoms
  • Have had a gynecological exam and any medical cause of your concern has been looked at
  • Understand that the evidence is limited and the effect may be small or absent
  • Want a temporary, reversible option rather than surgery

Wait or explore other care first if you

  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive
  • Have an active vaginal or urinary infection, or frequent UTIs
  • Have pain during sex, low desire or arousal difficulties that have not been assessed
  • Have a bleeding disorder or a past reaction to filler or lidocaine

What is G-spot amplification?

G-spot amplification, sometimes called a G-shot, is a non-surgical procedure in which a small amount of hyaluronic acid (HA) filler is injected beneath the lining of the front (anterior) wall of the vagina. The aim is to add a little volume to that area so it may be more easily stimulated.

The term “G-spot” describes an area some women find sensitive, a few centimeters inside the vagina on the side closest to the bladder. Anatomical studies have not found a single, separate structure there. Many experts now see it as part of a wider network of tissue that includes the internal parts of the clitoris and the tissue around the urethra. Sensitivity varies a great deal from woman to woman, and not having a noticeable “spot” is normal.

The filler used is the same family of HA products used for vaginal fillers . Because it is HA, it can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed.

Does G-spot amplification work? What the evidence says

The honest answer is that we do not know how well it works. Published research consists mostly of small studies without comparison groups, based on questionnaires, and results vary widely. Some women report a change in sensation or satisfaction; others notice little or no difference.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) has stated that there is not enough evidence on the safety and effectiveness of procedures such as G-spot amplification, and that women should be counseled about this before choosing them. Expectation itself can also influence how a treatment feels.

G-spot amplification is not a treatment for a medical problem. If your concern is lower desire, difficulty with arousal, or discomfort, these usually have causes that can be assessed and treated, and our pages on low sex drive and low libido treatment explain the options.

What happens during the procedure?

The injection takes about 15–30 minutes and is done in a private treatment room. Most women describe pressure and brief stinging.

  1. Dr. Park reviews your health history and performs a pelvic exam to check for infection, prolapse or tenderness.
  2. Numbing gel is applied inside the vagina, and local anesthetic may be added.
  3. With a speculum in place, a small amount of HA is injected beneath the lining of the front vaginal wall, taking care to stay clear of the urethra.
  4. You rest for a short time, pass urine before leaving, and go home with written aftercare.

Try to book outside your period. You can bring a support person to the clinic if that helps you feel more comfortable.

How long does G-spot amplification last?

Any effect is temporary and typically lasts several months, as the body gradually breaks down the filler. How long it lasts depends on the product, the amount used and the individual.

Recovery is usually quick:

  • Mild soreness, light spotting or a feeling of fullness for a few days is common.
  • Avoid sex, tampons, menstrual cups, swimming and baths for about one week, or as advised.
  • Return to desk work is usually possible the next day.
  • Some women notice a change only after swelling settles, around one to two weeks later.

Repeat treatment is a personal decision. If you noticed no benefit the first time, a second injection is unlikely to change that.

Risks and possible side effects

Side effects are usually mild, but the front vaginal wall lies directly over the urethra and bladder, so this area needs particular care. Possible risks include:

  • Soreness, spotting and swelling for a few days.
  • Urinary symptoms such as urgency, burning or a urinary tract infection.
  • Infection at the injection site, including rarely an abscess.
  • Lumps or uneven filler , which can usually be dissolved with hyaluronidase.
  • Discomfort or pain during sex , or a change in sensation that may be unwelcome.
  • Vascular events: rarely, filler enters a blood vessel. Serious cases of filler reaching the lungs have been reported after vaginal injection.

Contact the clinic promptly if you have fever, worsening pain, foul-smelling discharge, heavy bleeding or difficulty passing urine. Sudden shortness of breath or chest pain needs an emergency department straight away.

Alternatives to G-spot amplification

Many concerns that lead women to ask about G-spot amplification have medical causes that respond to treatment. Depending on what you notice, other options may help more:

G-spot amplification at Hommage Clinic

Hommage Clinic is a women's clinic in Gangnam, a short walk from Sinnonhyeon Station. Intimate consultations and injections are carried out by Dr. Park Yuna, a female OB/GYN specialist, after a gynecological exam. You will hear plainly what the evidence does and does not show, and you are welcome to take time to decide. Visits are private, and walk-ins are welcome during opening hours.

G-spot amplification is cosmetic and is not covered by Korea's National Health Insurance. Cost depends on the product and amount used and whether treatments are combined, and you receive a written quote before treatment.

Anatomy

Where is the G-spot, and why does placement matter?

The area women describe as the G-spot lies on the front wall of the vagina, a few centimeters inside, on the side closest to the bladder. A systematic review in the Journal of Sexual Medicine (Kilchevsky and colleagues, 2012) looked at studies from 1950 to 2011, including surveys, tissue samples and imaging. It found that most women surveyed believed a G-spot exists, but objective measures had not shown strong, consistent evidence of a separate anatomical structure there. Many experts now think the sensitive area reflects the internal parts of the clitoris and the tissue around the urethra lying close to the vaginal wall.

That anatomy explains both the idea behind the injection and its main specific risk. Filler is placed in a thin layer beneath the vaginal lining, but the urethra and bladder sit just above. Precise, shallow placement away from the urethra, by a doctor who examines you first, is what keeps urinary side effects uncommon.

G-shot vs O-shot: what is the difference?

The two are often confused. The G-shot adds a small volume of hyaluronic acid filler to the front vaginal wall. TheO-Shotuses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) prepared from your own blood, injected near the clitoris and the front vaginal wall, with the aim of supporting tissue rather than adding bulk. Neither has strong evidence, and a small 2026 pilot study comparing hyaluronic acid with PRP in the front vaginal wall (eight women in each group) is far too small to say which is better. Dr. Park explains both, along with options for the underlying concern, before you choose.

Evidence

G-spot amplification research: what the studies show

Published research on G-spot amplification is thin. Studies are small, rarely include a comparison group, rely on questionnaires such as the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI), and follow women for weeks or a few months. Some are written by clinicians who offer the procedure. Expectation also plays a part: when a woman hopes a treatment will improve sex, she may report improvement whatever the injection does. The figures below show what exists, not proof that the treatment works.

Recovery

G-spot amplification recovery timeline

Recovery is short. You pass urine before leaving the clinic, and most women return to desk work the next day with mild soreness, light spotting or a feeling of fullness. Sex, tampons, menstrual cups, swimming and baths wait about a week. Any change in sensation is easier to judge once swelling settles at one to two weeks, which is when a follow-up check is offered. The filler is then absorbed gradually over several months.

Before you decide

Is G-spot amplification right for me?

Women ask about G-spot amplification for many reasons: curiosity, a wish to enhance something that already works, or a feeling that sex has changed after childbirth or with age. The last group often benefits more from finding the cause. Reduced sensation after birth can reflect pelvic floor changes; dryness and discomfort around menopause usually reflect low estrogen; and low desire has physical, hormonal, relationship and emotional sides that a filler cannot reach.

It can help to talk with your partner, if you have one, before deciding. Some couples find that changes in communication, time or arousal make a bigger difference than any procedure. If you still want to try the treatment after an honest discussion, Dr. Park will plan a conservative injection and a follow-up.

  • Is sex painful, or is my main concern dryness? Then painful intercourse treatment comes first.
  • Has my desire dropped, or does it distress me? See low sex drive for causes and care.
  • Do I leak urine or feel looser after birth? Pelvic floor care or Kegel therapy may help more.
  • Can I accept that it may make no difference? If not, it is reasonable to wait.

G-spot amplification in Seoul for international patients

Hommage Women's Clinic is in Gangnam, a short walk from Sinnonhyeon Station (Line 9 and Shinbundang Line). Because the evidence is limited, Dr. Park encourages visitors to use the consultation to discuss the underlying concern first; if you decide to go ahead and no infection is found, the injection can usually follow on the same visit or another day of your stay.

  • Send your questions and preferred dates by WhatsApp, KakaoTalk or the contact form, and ask for language support if needed.
  • Avoid dates around your period, and bring your passport and a list of medicines and allergies.
  • Allow a few days in Seoul after treatment so early problems such as urinary symptoms can be checked before you fly.
  • After you return home, send photos or questions to the clinic; fever, worsening pain or difficulty passing urine needs a local doctor. Tell them you had hyaluronic acid filler.

Choosing well

How to choose a clinic for G-spot amplification

An injection into the front vaginal wall should be done by a doctor who knows the pelvic anatomy and can recognize problems that need medical care. Ask these questions anywhere you go, including here:

  • Is the injector a licensed gynecologist? They should examine you before injecting.
  • Do they explain the limited evidence? Be cautious of promises of stronger orgasms.
  • Which product, and is it hyaluronic acid? Ask for the brand; HA can be dissolved.
  • Is hyaluronidase available on site? It reverses HA if there is a problem.
  • Is there a follow-up plan? A check at one to two weeks and a way to reach the clinic.

What affects the cost of G-spot amplification?

Cost depends on the hyaluronic acid product and the amount used, and whether it is combined with other treatments such asvaginal fillersor theO-Shot. It is cosmetic and not covered by Korea's National Health Insurance; you receive a written quote at your consultation before deciding.

G-spot amplification: frequently asked questions

  • Does G-spot amplification work?

Evidence is limited. Studies are small, mostly without comparison groups, and results vary: some women report a change in sensation or satisfaction, while others notice little or no difference. ACOG has said there is not enough evidence on the safety and effectiveness of this procedure, so it is important to keep expectations realistic.

  • How long does G-spot amplification last?

Any effect is temporary and typically lasts several months, as the body gradually absorbs the hyaluronic acid filler. The exact time depends on the product, the amount injected and your body. If you noticed no benefit after the first treatment, repeating it is unlikely to help.

  • Does G-spot amplification hurt?

Most women feel pressure and brief stinging rather than sharp pain. Numbing gel is applied inside the vagina first, and local anesthetic can be added. Mild soreness or a feeling of fullness for a few days afterward is common and usually eases with simple pain relief.

  • When can I have sex after G-spot amplification?

Most women are advised to wait about one week, or until soreness has settled. Waiting lowers the risk of infection and allows the filler to settle. If sex is painful in the weeks afterward, stop and contact the clinic so the area can be checked.

  • Is the G-spot a real structure?

Researchers have not found a single, separate anatomical structure called the G-spot. The sensitive area some women notice on the front vaginal wall is thought to be part of a wider network that includes the internal clitoris and tissue around the urethra. Sensitivity varies widely, and not finding a distinct spot is normal.

  • Can G-spot amplification affect urination?

It can. The front vaginal wall lies directly over the urethra and bladder, so temporary urgency, burning or a urinary tract infection can occur. Careful injection technique lowers this risk. Contact the clinic if you have pain or difficulty passing urine, or fever, after treatment.

  • Can foreigners get G-spot amplification in Seoul?

Yes. International patients and foreign residents can book an appointment at Hommage Clinic; bring your passport for registration. Contact us before your visit to arrange language support. If you are traveling, allow a few days in Seoul after treatment so any early problem can be checked.

  • What is the difference between the G-shot and the O-shot?

The G-shot injects hyaluronic acid filler into the front vaginal wall to add a little volume. The O-Shot uses platelet-rich plasma from your own blood, injected near the clitoris and front vaginal wall. Both have limited evidence, and Dr. Park explains which, if either, suits your concern.

  • Will G-spot amplification give me stronger orgasms?

It may not. Small studies report improved questionnaire scores in some women, but they had no placebo group, and expectation alone can change how sex feels. No large trial shows that the injection reliably improves orgasm, so it should not be chosen on that promise.

  • Can G-spot amplification be reversed?

Yes. Because it uses hyaluronic acid, the filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if a lump forms, sex becomes uncomfortable or you dislike the change. Otherwise the body absorbs it gradually over several months.

  • Is G-spot amplification the same as vaginal filler?

It is a specific type of vaginal filler, placed only in a small area of the front vaginal wall. Vaginal fillers more broadly include outer-lip volume and filler at the vaginal entrance, which have different goals.

  • Can I have G-spot amplification after menopause?

Possibly, but after menopause dryness and thinning of the vaginal lining are common and can make sex uncomfortable. Those changes usually respond better to moisturizers or low-dose vaginal estrogen, so Dr. Park assesses them first. See vaginal dryness treatment.

  • Is G-spot amplification covered by insurance in Korea?

No. G-spot amplification is cosmetic and is not covered by Korea's National Health Insurance, and travel insurance rarely covers elective procedures. Cost depends on the product and amount used, and you receive a written quote before deciding.
